5. Your Creative Content

As between you and the Studio, your original creative work remains yours. The Studio uses your content for the operational purposes necessary to provide the Services you choose, subject to the Terms.

6. AI Processing

When you intentionally use an AI-assisted feature, relevant content is transmitted through the Studio's server-side AI pathway for processing. The application is designed to assemble context appropriate to the requested feature rather than indiscriminately send an entire manuscript. The exact scope varies by feature.

Features that do not call an AI-assisted function do not transmit your writing to an AI provider. Where a Project's AI setting is disabled, generative requests for that Project are refused before any provider is contacted.

7. AI Data Handling

AI requests are made server-side. The Studio does not call AI providers from your browser, and provider credentials are never exposed to the browser. Requests are routed through the Lovable AI gateway, which forwards them to the underlying model provider selected for the feature. Providers and models may change over time as the Services evolve.

We do not control, and therefore do not promise, how long an upstream provider retains request data, who within a provider may access it for abuse-prevention or legal purposes, or how quickly data is removed from downstream systems.

8. Service Providers

We use third-party providers to operate parts of the Services, including:

  • Managed cloud hosting, database, authentication and file storage
  • Payment processing
  • Transactional email delivery
  • AI gateway and model providers

We seek to limit information shared to what is reasonably necessary for the service and contractual or operational purpose.

9. Safety Review

Our safety review approach ("Sentinel Lite") is designed around active AI-processing points, not routine surveillance of stored manuscripts. It is not intended to continuously or periodically crawl private stored writing merely to search for violations. Provider safety systems may separately apply when AI requests are processed.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar browser storage technologies to keep you signed in, maintain security, and remember interface preferences such as layout choices. We do not currently use third-party advertising or marketing tracking technologies. Performance and error data used to keep the Services reliable is collected by the Studio itself for signed-in sessions.

You may block or clear cookies and browser storage through your browser settings; if you do, sign-in and some features may stop working correctly.

11. Retention and Recovery

Different categories of information have different retention periods. Project content remains available while your account is active. Version history, Recovery Center items and periodic snapshots are retained for the periods those features provide. Account, billing and security records are retained as needed for legal, accounting and fraud-prevention purposes. Application and observability logs are retained for a limited operational period.

Deletion is not necessarily instantaneous everywhere. Copies may persist for a period in encrypted backups, logs, or upstream provider systems before they expire in the ordinary course.

12. Security

Access to your content requires authentication. Permissions are role-scoped, database access is protected by row-level security policies, uploaded files are held in private storage, and data is transmitted over encrypted connections. The Services run on managed cloud infrastructure with its own operational controls.

No system can guarantee absolute security.

13. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access and correct your account information in your account settings
  • Export project content using the Studio's export features
  • Manage collaborators and invitations for your projects
  • Control each Project's AI setting
  • Control cookies and browser storage through your browser
  • Request correction or deletion of your account and associated content by contacting support

We respond to verified requests subject to legal obligations that may require us to retain certain records.

14. Children

The Studio is intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

15. Changes to This Policy

We update this Policy when our systems, service providers, applicable laws, or practices materially change. The Effective Date above reflects the most recent revision.
